Working for the GSSC in Vilnius, Lithuania has emboldened my commitment to helping the NATO Alliance and preserving the Baltic states. My second time in the Baltics, but my first time in Lithuania, this internship has taught me new skills in utilizing research tools and homing in on my expertise in American-Baltic affairs. I got to experience cool events, such as preparing materials for the Minister of Defense of Lithuania and the Director of the Kennan Institute. Moreover, the Baltic trips sponsored by Vabamu and Stanford have opened doors for me within different MFAs, taught me the national memory of the Baltics through various museums, and I got to experience each country’s culture with a growing cohort of truly exceptional and inspiring other Stanford students. This Summer has truly been an adventure of a lifetime, and I want to say thank you to everyone, especially Eglė Vaičiulytė, Liisi Esse, and Kadri Paju for making this all happen and giving me such a special experience I will cherish forever.
