She Rises Up tells the inspiring stories of three women from Peru, Senegal, and Sri Lanka who, despite systemic barriers, have built successful businesses that empower not only themselves but also their communities. The film highlights the broader issue of economic inequality, revealing how women’s financial independence plays a crucial role in reducing poverty worldwide.

Following the screening, guests had the chance to reflect on the film and join a guided tour led by Estonian journalist and writer Daniel Vaarik. The tour also complemented an installation by Levila and Feministeerium, which was unveiled at Vabamu in celebration of International Women’s Day.
