Five memory institutes from Baltics, Poland, and Ukraine submitted a joint appeal to UNESCO to add birch bark letters sent from Siberian prison camps to its Memory of the World Register.

Marek Tamm visited Stanford University through the Short-Term Research Fellowship at Stanford University for Estonian Scholars. The fellowship is supported by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Vabamu and Stanford Libraries.
