Vabamu and Fulbright researcher Parker Watt invite you to the premiere screening of a documentary series
This series of short documentary videos has been created by a Stanford university alumnus and Fulbright researcher Parker Watt over the last year, and each video tells the story of a single Ukrainian artist or artistic group living and working in Estonia. These individuals each speak of their experience using art as a mode of healing, of cultural continuation, or of connecting with Estonia and Estonians.
The screening will take place on the 17th of October at 4 pm and will be followed by a period of light refreshments and food. The event is accessible for both English and Ukrainian speakers, it is free, but registration is required here.
This project has been made possible by the Fulbright Student Research Grant as well as the Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies’ Baumanis Grant for Creative Projects in Baltic Studies.
Parker participated in the Stanford Global Studies internship at Skytte Institute assisting with the University of Tartu Ukraine Centre in summer 2023. The internship program is coordinated by Vabamu and is part of Stanford-Baltics Exchange Program.
