Opening of the exhibition of the photo project about Ukrainian prisoners.
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition “Prisoners of War” on April 25 at 15:00.
The photographs presented at the exhibition tell the stories of Ukrainian soldiers who were captured and tortured, demonstrating the cruelty of this war and the incredible courage of those who managed to survive. These images testify to the grave violations of human rights and emphasize the need for international efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
After the official opening, we invite you to join the screening of the films “Prisoners” (42 min) and “Voice from Captivity. Ukrainians in Russian Prisons” (13 min).
“Prisoners” is a film by the Activatica media project about civilian Ukrainian prisoners who were captured by Russian security forces in the occupied territories.
“Voice from Captivity. Ukrainians in Russian Prisons” tells the viewer about Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russian prisons. This film by the Dossier Center presents real recordings of calls from those who were captured.
After the film screening, you will have the opportunity to write letters to those Ukrainian prisoners with whom correspondence is now possible.
The exhibition is organized by Reforum Space Tallinn in partnership with the Anti-War Committee of Russia, the media project Activatica with the support of the Vabamu Museum. Photos are provided by the coordination center for the exchange of prisoners of war in Kyiv. The exhibition will last until April 28.
