On the morning of 24 February, Vabamu will open in the early hours, so you can come directly after the National Flag Hoisting Ceremony into the heart of the stories of the Estonian people. In addition to our permanent exhibition “Freedom Without Borders”, you can this year also visit the new temporary exhibition “Estonia Worldwide” and take part in guided tours and workshops. You can also capture the festive day with the help of a free photo wall.

11:00 – Performance by the The Veronika Portsmuth Choir Academy
The choir’s aim is to create a broad-based permanent repertoire of choral music, while also focusing on contemporary works by Nordic and Estonian composers. The chamber choir seeks to expand the expressive boundaries of choral music through improvisation and sound technology, collaborating with diverse performers and ensembles.
Capture your special moment at Vabamu!
To remember the festive holiday, a photo mirror will be set up at Vabamu where you can capture your visit together with your loved ones. You can print the photo immediately and also send it to your email – free of charge!
As part of the new exhibition “Estonia Worldwide”, we will display a world map where visitors can mark the places they have travelled to far from home or where their relatives live, because Estonia also exists beyond our national borders.
Throughout the day, the café will be open, offering festive salads and cakes. Alongside enjoying food, you can also play various Estonia-themed board games.
