Aim\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the lesson, the student is expected to\u00a0have\u00a0gained\u00a0knowledge\u00a0of\u00a0different\u00a0disinformation\u00a0strategies\u00a0and\u00a0will have\u00a0obtained\u00a0new\u00a0tools for fact checking and\u00a0identifying\u00a0disinformation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Description\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this museum lesson, we discuss in what ways technology has\u00a0impacted\u00a0propaganda and disinformation from the 20<\/span>th<\/span>\u00a0century to the present.\u00a0Through a value-based and active learning-focused approach we\u00a0discuss how various events in recent history\u00a0have\u00a0influenced the content and shape of disinformation, how people in\u00a0different times\u00a0have received\u00a0and spread it, as well as\u00a0the ethical consequences of disinformation. We also focus on the role that education and practical skills play in people\u2019s ability to recognise and resist disinformation. The lesson will also feature a practical workshop, where the students in small groups use their smartphones to test their new skills in\u00a0controlling facts and\u00a0identifying\u00a0disinformation, including fake news and AI-generated content.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
